I am a Writer and Songwriter

A Brief History 

I have been interested in words and music for as long as I can remember.

I won first prize in a National Poetry Competition when I was eleven.  At about the same time I was chosen to be a member of my school choir and became involved in amateur dramatics.

As an adult I went on to co-run and take part in various entertainment groups and helped out at a youth drama group.

I trained as a classical singer and performed at a variety of functions.  I  taught singing and public speaking for a few years.   I was also part of a comedy double act.

Many of my concerts were performed to raise funds for the charities I was working for at the time.

I kept my writing to a minimum whilst all this was going on, as I was also raising my family.

Health issues facilitated a change in direction and I have now given up teaching and performing to concentrate on writing.
